What is it?
This was one of my first big projects. It is a fully functional 3d-printer designed and built into a customized cabinet. Granted, everything was fairly low quality, but it could withstand my sitting on it. Plus, it printed successfully, and that's what really matters, right?
What was the process?
I started off with a RepRap 3d printer. It didn't work, so I naturally decided to make my own. There were three major versions, as shown to the right. I managed to iron out the bugs before my family moved from Chicago to Singapore.
What did I learn?
Maybe, the printer isn't the prettiest of things, but the results weren't bad. I keep a cast of my first print with me at all times to remind me that persistence pays off.
